Kent Kleen, LLC was founded in December 1984 by Kent Ristow. He purchased a ServiceMaster franchise and moved to St. Joseph, MI, starting a one person cleaning and restoration company. Kent grew that business to one of the top five in the nation, winning numerous awards. In October of 1996, ServiceMaster of St. Joseph separated the relationship with the franchisor and became ServiClean One, “The Folks in the Bright Pink Vans”.
It is likely you have seen one of those pink vans, or even the pink Prius, driving around town. ServiClean One grew to serve many residential and commercial customers throughout southwest Michigan for the next twenty-two years. Customer service always remained the number one priority for Kent and his team, seeing each home or business they served as an addition to their family…not just another client.
In March of 2018, Kent and Stacey took an opportunity to partner with Belfor Franchise Group and become 1-800 WATER DAMAGE of Southwest Michigan. They moved their business to the property on Langley Ave in St. Joseph. Working with the worlds largest disaster restoration company brought many opportunities to serve when people need them the most. They traveled to help homeowners in Panama City, FL after Category 5 Hurricane Michael destroyed the city, spending almost 6 months down south. They were one of the first to arrive and the last to leave the area. In October of 2020, they traveled to Lake Charles, LA to help homeowners after Category 4 Hurricane Laura and six weeks later, Category 3 Hurricane Delta ravaged the area. They made it back home to Michigan in February 2021, only to leave four days later for Dallas, TX after a deep freeze knocked out power to much of the area causing frozen pipes everywhere. The opportunities to help others didn’t stop there as they worked on projects in their home state of Michigan in Midland and Detroit areas.
In June 2022, Kent and Stacey knew it was time to stay at “home” and come back to the community where it all began! Now proudly serving southwest Michigan as Kent Kleen, LLC, Kent and Stacey are on every job, every time. You can expect the same great service you have always received since the beginning. They have loved being a part of our local community. Both of their children grew up playing sports and participating in school activities, then graduating from local schools. This community is their HOME! We look forward to serving you!!

Stacey Ristow
Stacey joined the business in 1995, when she moved to Southwest Michigan from Southern California. Happily married to Kent since 1999, the two of them have enjoyed growing their business and serving customers together. They have raised two children, both attending local schools through high school. You may have even watched them grow up while helping Mom and Dad on a project or two. Stacey loves to talk with every client and make them feel like they are family. Customer service is definitely her passion. When you call Kent Kleen, LLC you will likely speak with Stacey while asking for information, an estimate for services, or scheduling your next project. As a former licensed insurance agent, she has seen claims from both sides. This makes her a great person to help you through your claim process. As with Kent, Stacey holds many certifications with the IICRC and has earned her Journeyman status.

With his strong work ethic and desire to help others, he has made sure every project is done the right way and every customer is completely satisfied. He takes pride in his work and is always looking for better ways to serve Southwest Michigan. Kent loves to learn as much as he can. He is Master Certified with the IICRC (International Institute of Cleaning and Restoration), making him the BEST choice for all your cleaning and restoration needs. During his time with ServiceMaster franchise, he earned numerous awards including the “Expert Award” which is only given to ten businesses out of over 4,000. During his time with Belfor Franchise Group, he was awarded Rookie of the Year and won several annual sales accomplishments. Kent is on every job, every time!
