Wet vs. Dry Cleaning?
Dry cleaning works on an absorption process. A powder or chemical is applied and worked in to the carpet first. After a short time, the powder or crystalized chemical, along with the soil, is vacuumed up. There is practically no drying time; however, it is a preventative type cleaning and is not effective on carpet that is in the corrective range of cleaning. Hot water extraction, when done correctly, with a multi-step procedure to thoroughly treat and extract it the fibers is the BEST way to deep clean your carpet. Dry times can be between 1 and 24 hours.
What is Rotary Jet Extraction?
Rotary extraction uses the same concept that you have seen with other cleaners using a wand. However, unlike the regular wand, the rotary extraction machine us able to clean the carpet fibers from five different angles. While rinsing the carpet, it is also agitating the fibers as it spins making over 650 passes per minute. It is the superior method for deep cleaning your carpet and restoring it to “like new” appearance.
It Doesn’t Look Dirty?
Your carpet may “look” clean when in fact it’s really not, that’s because a carpet will soil from the bottom up. Todays fibers are actually designed to hide dirt. By the time a carpet looks like it should be cleaned, it has already become heavily soiled! To properly maintain your carpet, it should be cleaned every 18-24 months.
